GIS
(geographic information systems) are internally referenced automated information
systems that handle both geographic (locational) and attribute (descriptive)
data for the purpose of data mapping, managing and analysis.
Because
data are spatially referenced (rectified) to a coordinate system and each
map-like layer is aligned or tied together (registered), GIS
is a powerful tool for decision making because of its ability to
compare multiple aspects on the earths surface simultaneously that
share little more than common geography.
Spatial
Analytics, Inc. combines GIS with the appropriate geographical subfield
and related data, spatial analysis techniques and trained personnel to
provide our clients with spatial solutions to real-world problems to make
informed decisions or better utilize and manage existing resources.
